Avoid getting a high BP watching this nonstop nonsense unfolding on screen

Taking its title from the famous on-screen jodi of Jai-Veeru from Amitabh Bachchan-Dharmendra starrer Sholay, the film tries to weave in a tale of friendship-betrayal-friendship between its two lead characters aptly named Jai (Fardeen) and Veeru (Kunal).
Jai is an undercover cop who is on a mission to expose underworld kingpin Tejpal (Arbaaz). He befriends a car thief Veeru (Kunal) to reach Tejpal. Happy-go-lucky dude Veeru mistakes Jai's affection for real and starts trusting him like an elder brother. When in a police raid, Jai's identity gets revealed to Veeru, a scuffle follows between the two, which leads to Veeru shooting Jai accidentally. On the run, Veeru escapes to Bangkok. It's not just the title which is a throwback to Sholay, but the entire film seems to be trapped in a time warp. Today, when even traditional Bollywood masala boasts of a newness in terms of plot and narrative structure, Jai Veeru falls back on the old-fashioned cops and robbers caper. More importantly, it refuses to add anything different to this run-of-the-mill affair that sees even a talented actor like Kunal Khemu deliver an indifferent act.

Much unlike the legendary Jai and Veeru jodi of Sholay, this boyzone pits the principled cop, Jai (Fardeen Khan) against small time hoodlum, Veeru (Kunal Khemu). The two begin as best buddies, where Jai masquerades as a car mechanic and gangs up with Veeru in his sundry car heists. The duo pledge eternal brotherhood to each other after several beer guzzling bouts, only to end up at opposite sides of a gun. And that's because the disguised cop is actually out to get the petty chor's boss (Arbaz Khan), who happens to be a big time Bhai.
