At the local supermarket, Sonja, a sommelier at a Bern Oberland inn which belongs to her fiancé Markus, bumps into Rajah, the cook of an Indian film crew shooting in the area. Stricken by love at first sight, Rajah convinces Markus to hires him, then proceeds to dazzle him with his exquisite recipes. Meanwhile, the film crew he has left for Sonja's pretty eyes falls into chaos. Swiss romantic comedy mixing Bollywood kitsch and Bernese Alps drama.

TANDOORI LOVE, directed by Oliver Paulus, is a very unusual blend, as
Bollywood comes to Switzerland. A musical that works more often than not,
it is a romantic comedy that doesn't fit naturally into any genre. It's a
cinematic melting pot that goes down as easily as the colorful Indian food
that TANDOORI LOVE makes appear downright delicious in every single close-up
of its preparation.

Opening with some of the most unappealing shots that I've ever seen of
Swiss-German cuisine, the movie makes you almost sad that the local Swiss
residents have to count on greasy pigs' feet and bloated sausages for their
diet. (Actually, I like Swiss food, save the pigs' feet, but I digress.)

When we meet the clueless Markus (Martin Schick), he is announcing his
upcoming marriage to Sonja (Lavinia Wilson). Too bad he didn't ask her in

Just like Mr India's father gifted him the miraculous watch – photographer Ray Acharya (Neil Nitin Mukesh) inherits a special camera from his grandfather. No, it doesn't make him invisible. Instead this camera gives its user a peek into the future. Describing how it works is too tedious to put down in words. Maybe that's why even the writers of Aa Dekhen Zara didn't bother to give any explanations. So let's just say it is a futuristic camera. And if you set it for a particular date and click a picture of the stock exchange - you get the image of that day's sensex! Certainly a gadget that would make 007 and Q proud.

Ray's neighbour is a hottie in hot pants named Simi (Bipasha Basu). She looks like she has walked straight out of the sets of Race or Bachna Ae Haseeno. Only difference being, the new 'lucky boy' in her on-screen life. Ray uses the camera to strike gold on the gambling circuit as well as woo Simi. Jaadu, the lovable alien of Koi Mil Gaya isn't alone anymore. Sci-fi comes to India with a bang. Not in the shape of extra-terrestrials and supernatural beings, but more in the form of time travel and paranormal occurrences.

After 13B, which serenaded a futuristic television set, the focus this week is on an equally empowered camera that captures the future in its sepia frames. The million-dollar invention falls into the hands of a down-and-out wild life photographer, Ray Acharya (Neil Nitin Mukesh) after its inventor -- the shutterbug's grandad -- dies. Not much of a legacy, laments the jobless bloke who's down to his last penny and doesn't have much to do, other than talk to the stray pigeons on his window or play voyeur to Simi (Bipasha Basu), the sexy DJ in the opposite apartment. In one such idle moment, he clicks her picture with the old camera while she's sashaying in her room, only to discover a photograph that shows her being shot in a bar. Time for Ray to jump into action and find a new focus to his going-nowhere life. He uses the camera, not only to save his girlfriend's life, but also to make millions by clicking lottery tickets and race horses to know their future. In Aa Dekhen Zara, Neil Nitin Mukesh plays a photographer whose deceased grandpa leaves him a camera that can take photographs of future events. At least someone associated with this film should have had the good sense to use this camera to foresee how this film was shaping up. Had they done that, they might have saved this movie from turning into the complete train-wreck that it is!

Like pretty much anyone in his place would have done, Neil uses the camera to make a killing at lotteries, the races and the stock exchange. His girlfriend's role is played by Bipasha Basu wearing a permanent scowl - perhaps she did use the camera to determine the film's fate after all. Anyway, when everyone from a dishonest cop to a greedy thug discovers the secret of the camera and wants to get a hold of it, Neil and Bipasha must flee the scene, landing up in Bangkok where they find the time to break into an item song at a Thai watering hole in between dodging bullets from their nemeses. The catch in this situation is thus - they may outrun their pursuers but can they overcome the fate that the camera has predicted for them? read full review...

When a movie director takes special interest in his film's soundtrack, it shows. Even more when the filmmaker happens to be a thinking man, as we learned with Anurag Kashyap's Dev.D and Gulaal. Nagesh Kukunoor has got three (four?) different dudes contributing to the soundtrack of his soon-to-hit-the-theatres Akshay Kumar starrer 8x10 Tasveer.

Irfan Siddiqui has written the lyrics to Nazaara Hai, which starts with a neat bassline. Vishal Dadlani sings Nazaara Hai, which has crisp sounding drums and is pretty catchy. Dadlani's voice has its limitations, a fact which the Pentagram vocalist seems to be well aware of - but he makes good use of whatever he can do with it. Nazaara Hai also has two guitar solos which have a funny tone. The break in the song sounds damn good, especially with the intro bassline and the drums coming in. Riding high on the success of "Fashion" and "Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi", the musical duo of brothers Salim and Sulaiman Merchant are ready with the soundtrack of Akshay Kumar-starrer "8x10 Tasveer" and they seem to have brought together quite a different genre.

They have also presented a mix of both fast-paced peppy numbers and free-flowing, soft melodies.

Avoid getting a high BP watching this nonstop nonsense unfolding on screen

Taking its title from the famous on-screen jodi of Jai-Veeru from Amitabh Bachchan-Dharmendra starrer Sholay, the film tries to weave in a tale of friendship-betrayal-friendship between its two lead characters aptly named Jai (Fardeen) and Veeru (Kunal).
Jai is an undercover cop who is on a mission to expose underworld kingpin Tejpal (Arbaaz). He befriends a car thief Veeru (Kunal) to reach Tejpal. Happy-go-lucky dude Veeru mistakes Jai's affection for real and starts trusting him like an elder brother. When in a police raid, Jai's identity gets revealed to Veeru, a scuffle follows between the two, which leads to Veeru shooting Jai accidentally. On the run, Veeru escapes to Bangkok. Hurt by Jai's betrayal and with Tejpal baying for his blood, Veeru decides to turn approver against Tejpal. What follows next is anybody's guess…..Read Full Review

It's not just the title which is a throwback to Sholay, but the entire film seems to be trapped in a time warp. Today, when even traditional Bollywood masala boasts of a newness in terms of plot and narrative structure, Jai Veeru falls back on the old-fashioned cops and robbers caper. More importantly, it refuses to add anything different to this run-of-the-mill affair that sees even a talented actor like Kunal Khemu deliver an indifferent act.

Much unlike the legendary Jai and Veeru jodi of Sholay, this boyzone pits the principled cop, Jai (Fardeen Khan) against small time hoodlum, Veeru (Kunal Khemu). The two begin as best buddies, where Jai masquerades as a car mechanic and gangs up with Veeru in his sundry car heists. The duo pledge eternal brotherhood to each other after several beer guzzling bouts, only to end up at opposite sides of a gun. And that's because the disguised cop is actually out to get the petty chor's boss (Arbaz Khan), who happens to be a big time Bhai. Story

MKMJA is the story of Maya. Maya lives in New Delhi, is married to Vikram and has a daughter Priya. Maya's life is mundane and centers around her family.One evening she overhears a conversation between her husband and another woman and realises that he's having an affair. Her simple, family centric life around her breaks down and she realises how Vikram had slowly degenerated her confidence and self esteem in the past few years of their marriage. He stopped her from singing and abandoning all her dreams.
During a conversation with her neighbour Mrs Mathur, who is looking for an ideal tenant, she conjures up her fantasy man, Jai. Through Jai, who keeps reoccurring in her dreams in different avtars, she regains her confidence. He inspires her to pursue her ultimate dream of singing.
With the help of her neighbours, a young band, she embarks on realising her dreams. Will her fantasy turn into reality or will reality hinder her dreams?

'Mere Khwabon Mein Jo Aaye' was a number originally composed by Jatin Lalit more than a decade back for Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jaayenge. While the composer duo has split, Lalit Pandit gets behind the scenes composing for this romantic comedy cum fantasy flick that also sees guest compositions by Siddharath Coutto. Though one doesn't really carry much expectations from the soundtrack of this film due to it's low key promotion, one is still ready for some kind of surprise considering PVR Cinema being the producers here.

Story

Sona (Konkona Sen Sharma) arrives in Bombay with her dreams of becoming a film star. Wide eyed but ambitious, she does whatever it takes, to make it. She lives on her own in a rented apartment - a luxury for most in this bustling city and spends her time with a motley crew of loyal friends whose lives are also entwined with Bollywood, each one in search of a bigger dream.

Vikram (Farhan Akhtar) has just moved to the city leaving the comforts of his parents Delhi home. Rolly (Rishi Kapoor) is a successful though superstitious producer who only works with the biggest stars. He is making a potential blockbuster launching the nubile Nikki Khurana (Isha Sharwani), the 18-year-old daughter of 70's superstar, Neena (Dimple Kapadia). The hero of the film, Zaffar Khan (Hrithik Roshan), is Rolly's favorite superstar. He was launched by Rolly and went on to become a huge draw at the box office.

I am confused. Always, always I am confused between Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy [referred in here as SEL] and A R Rehman. I don't want to compare the two, but naturally comparison ho jaati hai. Rehman gives such stupendous score in each film. While SEL gives music, which is totally involved in the film. One can not think anything but the movie itself. Like in TZP, Rock On – which we have heard recently. Tracks are so dedicated to the movie itself.


Luck By Chance, is a movie about Film Industry, aspirations of youth to join it and hopes higher then sky. To become star, a big star in this wide wide sky. So here, SEL presents a really interesting combination of tracks for the movie. While daddy dearest Javed Akhtar gave some nice words to it. After all, its Zoya Akhtar's debut as Director.

Zoya Akhtar may probably be best known because of her last name. And being a daughter of the famous Javed Akhtar and sister of Farhan Akhtar is no mean task.

Raaz-The Mystery Continues is filled with several such spooky moments – some work, some don't. Bhatt camps' sequel to the surprise 2001 hit Raaz has no relation whatsoever to the Bipasha Basu-Dino Morea flick. Except that both films are essentially murder mysteries with some edge-of-the-seat moments.

Random suicides in an obscure North Indian village go unreported till a model in Mumbai develops similar tendencies. Kangana Ranaut plays the troubled supermodel (oh no, not again!) Nandita who is dating news anchor Yash (played by a confident Adhyayan Suman) who happens to be a atheist, a non-believer. RTMC takes time to find its bearings. After a shocking opening sequence, the plot shifts to the customary Bollywood love angle, with couple of melodious numbers thrown in. Story :
Chandni Chowk To China, the first ever Bollywood Kungfu comedy takes you on a madcap Journey from the by-lanes of Chandni Chowk in Delhi, to Shanghai, the Great Wall and rural China, marrying in its wake hilarious gags, breathtaking action, spectacular locations and heart stirring emotions.
Our protagonist Sidhu (Akshay Kumar) is the lowest on the totem pole, cutting vegetables at a roadside food stall in Chandni Chowk in Delhi. He longs to escape his dreary existence and looks for shortcuts- with astrologers, tarot readers and fake fakirs - basically believing anything except himself, despite his father figure Dada's (Mithun Chakraborty) best efforts.
His redeeming moment arrives when two strangers from China claim him as a reincarnation of a war hero in the past and takes him to China. Sidhu now dreams of wine, women, and a princely existence in foreign lands. Thanks to the devious translator, a conman by the name Chopstick (Ranvir Shorey), little does he know that he is being taken to the Promised Land to rid the Chinese village of the vicious smuggler Hojo (Gordon Liu)!

Chandni Chowk To China is a big, bloated misadventure of a movie with a string of set pieces instead of a plot. There are too many gags, too many action scenes, too many item songs, and too much of everything, in fact. The film's biggest crime, if you ask me, is that it's an exercise in excess.
